As an active member of Kiwanis, I've learned first hand about the epidemic of hunger in children in Florida. One in four children in Florida go hungry, right here in our backyard. That's why I'm taking the Pan-Florida Challenge.

Each Monday morning, children return to their elementary schools famished and unable to learn, having not eaten since Friday afternoon at school. The Pan-Florida Challenge brings awareness and meals to these kids who go hungry over the weekends in seven Florida counties. What happens when hungry kids return to school having not eaten for 68 long hours? They lose the opportunity to learn on Monday, 20% of their school week. PFC set out to solve the problem of what they call "Lost Mondays"?by feeding children through the PFC Power Pack Program.

The Pan-Florida Challenge for Hungry Kids Ride will take me and 200 other courageous riders on a 180 mile journey across Florida from Naples to Fort Pierce on March 11th and 12th, 2017 - with a bold event goal of raising funds in just one weekend to provide 2,000,000 meals to feed hungry kids in Florida. We will ride across seven counties and past more than 72,000 food insecure children, including 14,600 plus right here in Collier County.

Your support at any level would be appreciated. Join me in helping to end childhood hunger!
